Element Training Complex Environmental Resource Permitting
The Element Training Complex is 200 acre weapons training facility located outside of Crestview. The complex includes long, medium, pistol, clays and paintball shooting ranges and areas. The site has a long history but was constructed without the benefit of an Environmental Resource Permit. Rogers Engineering was hired to perform engineering analyses of the pre-existing, original layout, and as-built conditions.

The Northwest Florida Water Management concerns included concerned for fill wetlands and potential for drainage to the Interstate 10 drainage system. The solution included enlarging and existing stormwater detention basin and the construction of a 3 ft berm to prevent increased discharge to the Interstate 10 drainage system.
