FLOATING DOCK DESIGN AND PERMITTING 2500/2520 NORTH FEDERAL HIGHWAY, LAUDERDALE, FL
|
A watercraft rental operator was under enforcement action by Broward County, Florida, for construction and operating floating docks and unpermitted boat slips in the Middle River. This location is within areas of strict regulations and permitting requirements due to protected sea grasses and manatees. Our Client reached out to Rogers Engineering to design and permit two floating docks at 2500 and 2520 N Federal Highway.
Rogers Engineering directed hydrographic, topographic and biological surveys of the site. Rogers prepared the Broward County and US Army Corps of Engineers designs and applications for permits. Rogers addressed the County and Corps concerns and successfully permitted two (2) floating docks, 143 and 101 linear ft respectively. The permit provided for five (5) boat slips, 25 ft in length and a 44 ft. slip for kayaks. |
